When I started musicshaft.com a year ago this May, I did so with the intention of creating a nationwide 'go to' website for local live music. Starting it up I had absolutely no idea what it would take to create, run and upkeep a successful website. All things considered, I think it worked out pretty well...I've gotten many people excited about seeing local live music and increased the hits to the website more than some skeptics thought possible. Okay, so then there's the reality, right?...Having made very little money from website links & having no technology to run ads was creating a real hindrance when it came time to having money to promote. Being an overly positive person, I thought, maybe I could 'go green' so to speak and create not just a music calendar website, but a go to for all entertainment right in my hometown. Enter Optimal Media Group and their (YourCity)NightOut.com websites. A perfect choice for someone like me- wanting technology but incapable of making it happen without help (and lots of it!).
So right now I'm working on keeping musicshaft.com going until I can phase it out and I will be doing www.simivalleynightout.com exclusively. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity musicshaft.com gave me and sincerely appreciate all its dedicated supporters.
